I view this coaching role as an incredible unique opportunity to blend my 14 years experience in Law Enforcement with my decades long passion to coach and help people become more whole. When I first heard about Law Enforcement Coaching, I was super excited to hear about the direct coaching with other officers. I thought, “Finally”, – people who get it.

Outside of the traditional counseling world and other Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), I had not heard of a structure like Law Enforcement Coaching, that strives to put people with street credentials into the chair to listen and support those who sometimes need it the most. 

Personally, I have always had a coach or was coaching others through formal teams or informal one on one meetings. I have grown in a variety of ways with the help of my coaches. Empathy, emotional IQ, and understanding the grieving process are just a few areas which coaches have helped me during the last few years

With Mental/Emotional support the effects to Law Enforcement can and should be very measurable and impactful. I believe a supported officer is one that is not alone in his day to day calling. An officer who is not alone is one who is prepared to take on the call of duty and when he/she needs help they don’t hesitate to reach out and find the resources they need. To be an officer with a coach also takes a level of humility that can be impactful across an organization.
